Abstract

Electron transport is a series of redox reaction that resemble a relay race or bucket bridge in that electrons are passed rapidly from one component to the next, to end point of the chain where the electrons reduce molecular oxygen, producing water In the chain form it is so series of protein complexes and other molecules that transfer electrons from electron donor to electron acceptors via redox reactions and couples this electron transfer with the transfer of protons (M+ ions) across a membrane. Many of the enzymes in the electron transport chain are membrane bond.
