Coaching Centres: A Double-Edged Sword – Enhancing Academic Success or Amplifying Stress

Abstract

The proliferation of coaching centres has sparked considerable debate regarding their impact on school students' academic performance and overall well-being. On one hand, coaching centres are perceived as a helpful supplement to traditional schooling, offering focused instruction, personalized attention, and preparation for competitive exams. On the other hand, critics argue that these centres contribute to excessive stress, a focus on rote learning, and a narrowing of the overall educational experience. This article explores the advantages and disadvantages of coaching centres, weighing their potential benefits against their drawbacks. By examining various perspectives, we aim to provide a balanced view of whether coaching centres are a boon or a bane for school students.
